Sessions at this conference may qualify for Continuing Education Units or Professional Development Units.  Please contact Serve Idaho for addtional information at: (208) 332-3578

Training offered at this conference may be used to meet the requirements for renewing  the Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) credential.  One Professional Development Unit (PDU) is awarded for each 50-60 minute session or contact hour in topics related to volunteer resources management.  For more details about the CVA program and renewal requirements, visit www.CVAcert.org or email ccva@comcast.net
 

Boise State University has approved Serve Idaho to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for conference sessions attended. Participants can earn up to 1.5 CEUs over the course of the two days. The registration fee is an additional $15 on top of the conference registration fee. For information about registering for CEUs at the conference, please e-mail us at alexis.neufeld@labor.idaho.gov. Dale Carnegie Training® has been accredited and authorized to award Continuing Education Units (CEU) by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training, Inc. (ACCET).  In addition to offering CEUs and CPE’s for CPA’s, the Dale Carnegie Course® is in compliance with the rigorous control and standards of the American Council on Education (ACE) and, as such, is considered of “college level” quality Currently the University of Central Missouri list is as a degreed program.

Celebration Dinner is included in the registration fee, outside guests are welcome at $25 cost.

Riverside Boise Hotel will be hosting our conference this year and reduced room rates are available for attendees.

Service Projects
On Tuesday February 12, 2013, conference attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of service projects throughout Boise. For those individuals interested in participating in service projects, you will need choose service project during the registration process and check-in on day one of conference to make your service project selection. Please note that projects fill quickly, so arrive early to select your project. 

This year's service projects include:

  • Project Linus –– Get Creative! Volunteers will be helping to make fleece blankets, cards for the kids who will receive the blankets and miscellaneous other items to help Project Linus carry out their mission.
    • St. Luke's Hospital (Service Learning)- Volunteers will make colorful worry dolls for kids at St. Luke's Hospital.
    •
    • Boise Veterans Home - Volunteers will assist in the Mardi Gras party festivities at the Boise Veterans Home.
    • Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation-This off-site project volunteers will be assisting with landscape maintenance along the Boise River and the Idaho Shakespeare Theater.

        2012 Service is the Solution! Serve Idaho Conference»
        Over 230 people attended the 12th annual Serve Idaho Conference held in Post Falls, Idaho. Attendees gathered together to participated in service projects and heard dynamic speakers during this three day conference on community service and volunteerism.  

        2011 Service in the New Decade! Serve Idaho Conference»
        Serve Idaho hosted this year's conference March 9-11 at the Boise Hotel and Convention Center. Over 250 attendees had the opportunity to learn from regional and national experts, attend the Celebration of Service dinner and participate in a service project.
